Pigmentation can be caused by genetics, sun exposure, stress, fluctuating hormones, menopause, insulin resistance, skin injury, or overly aggressive skin care treatment.
There are 2 types of pigmentation:
Due to decrease in skin pigmentation, patches of your skin will become lighter than the normal surrounding skin.
An increase in skin pigmentation- usually harmless- can cause patches of your skin to become darker than your normal skin tone due to excess melanin.
Some examples of hyperpigmentation include: (1) melasma - (uneven production of pigmentation on the skin which presents itself as dark brown/black patches), (2) peri-orbital melanosis (dark circles which maybe hereditary or caused by stress), (3) freckles and photo-melanosis (increased pigmentation due to sun exposure).
Our IPL machine will emit pulses of light directly on the skin, breaking down excess pigmentation, resulting in a more even skin tone. This procedure is non-invasive, effective, and suitable for a wide range of skin pigmentation condition.

Vascular Lesion is the result of numerous vessels or large vessels that form directly underneath the skin. If you have this problem, your skin will have visible red veiny appearance. These lesions can be in a variety of sizes, shapes and forms.
The most commonly treated area is the face, especially the nose. It may take up to a month to see the full effects of the treatment, but it is a permanent solution to vascular lesion. However, if a person suffers from excessive blood vessels, they may generate new vessels which may require treatments in the future.
